New barrier wall will be installed this week on eastbound I-70 between Union Pike and Smyrna Road. The wall will provide protection to crews during construction.
Drivers can expect the following:
Monday, May 19 through Thursday, May 22
- Overnight lane closure on eastbound I-70 from Union Pike to Smyrna Road (8 p.m. to 7 a.m.)
Wednesday, May 21
- Overnight traffic shift on westbound I-70 from Smyrna Road to U.S. 27
All closures and restrictions are weather dependent.
Construction Speed Limit Now Active
The construction zone speed limit is now active on I-70. A reduced speed of 55 mph is in place for the duration of Revive I-70 work. It is important for drivers to slow down and avoid distractions in work zones.
