Section of eastbound I-70 reduced to one lane this weekend

Last scheduled weekend closure to complete traffic shifts

Eastbound I-70 is scheduled to be reduced to one lane between Brick Church Road and Centerville Road this weekend from 10 p.m. Friday, June 5, until 10 a.m. Sunday, June 7. Significant back-ups and delays are expected. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes when possible.

This is the last of three weekend closures needed on this section of I-70 to shift traffic and prepare for additional construction of pavement and bridge improvements along the corridor.

Reminder: State Road 1 Temporary Ramp Closures
The S.R. 1 ramps to and from eastbound I-70 are closed for up to 60 days to allow for ramp rehabilitation and reconstruction. Drainage work and resurfacing are also planned. A signed detour is in place, using Wilbur Wright Road to access eastbound I-70. To access S.R. 1 from eastbound I-70, drivers can take Centerville Road (Exit 145) to S.R. 1.
