Lane restrictions are scheduled this weekend on westbound I-70 to prepare for construction early next year. Significant delays are expected, and drivers are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes when possible.

Closures This Weekend

Drivers can expect the following closures this weekend:

Friday, Nov. 7 – Monday, Nov. 10 (Closing 10 p.m. Friday and reopening by 7 a.m. Monday)

  • Westbound I-70 reduced to a single lane from Mineral Springs Road to Centerville Road
  • Ramp from Centerville Road to westbound I-70

Restrictions Next Week

Drivers can expect the following restrictions next week:

Monday, Nov. 10 — Thursday, Nov. 13 (8 p.m. to 7 a.m. each night)

  • Westbound I-70 reduced to one lane from Brick Church Road to Centerville Road

Wednesday, Nov. 12 (8 p.m. to 7 a.m.)

  • Eastbound I-70 reduced to one lane from Brick Church Road to Jacksonburg Road

Thursday, Nov. 13 (8 p.m. Thursday to 7 a.m. Friday)

  • Ramp closures at State Road 1
    • Ramps to and from westbound I-70 and S.R. 1 will close first
    • Ramps to and from eastbound I-70 and S.R. 1 will follow

Friday, Nov. 14 and Saturday, Nov. 15 (10 p.m. to 10 a.m. each night)

  • Westbound I-70 reduced to one lane from Brick Church Road to Centerville Road

All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.

Construction Speed Limit
The construction zone speed limit remains active on I-70. A reduced speed of 55 mph is in place for the duration of Revive I-70 work. It is important for drivers to slow down and avoid distractions in work zones.
