The closure of the ramp from southbound U.S. 35 to eastbound I-70 is being postponed. A new start date is not yet available for this long-term closure. An updated schedule will be provided when available.
Union Pike Closure
Nightly closures are expected next week on Union Pike at the I-70 overpass for bridge demolition work. Overnight closures are scheduled to begin on or after Monday, April 21, and continue through Friday, April 25, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. A signed detour will be in place.
Noise is associated with the demolition work. The work is happening at night to minimize impacts to motorists and complete demolition activities as quickly and safely as possible.
Construction Speed Limit Now Active
The construction zone speed limit is now active on I-70. A reduced speed of 55 mph is in place for the duration of Revive I-70 work. It is important for drivers to slow down and avoid distractions in work zones.
