Overnight lane closures needed for Revive I-70 project progress 

Shoulder strengthening, setting barrier wall and pavement striping are some of the activities on I-70 this weekend and next week as part of the Revive I-70 improvements. Drivers can also expect some lane shifts to move traffic to new pavement. 

Overnight Lane Closures  

Drivers should be aware of overnight single lane closures in both directions starting Friday, Sept. 12 through Friday, Sept. 18. Lane closures will occur along segments of eastbound and westbound I-70 between Brick Church Road and North Centerville Road. 

  • Friday, Sept. 12, and Saturday, Sept. 13 | 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. 
  • Sunday, Sept. 14 | 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. 
  • Monday, Sept. 15 through Thursday, Sept 18 | 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. 
  • Friday, Sept. 19 | 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. 

Additional overnight lane closures are planned as follows:  

Monday, Sept. 15, Tuesday, Sept. 16, and Wednesday, Sept. 17 

  • Lane closure on eastbound I-70 from U.S. 40 to the Ohio state line from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. 

Wednesday, Sept. 17  

  • Lane closure on eastbound I-70 from Union Pike to U.S. 27 from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. 

Thursday, Sept. 18  

  • Short, rolling lane closures in both directions of I-70 from west U.S. 35 to the Ohio state line from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Construction Speed Limit 
The construction zone speed limit remains active on I-70. A reduced speed of 55 mph is in place for the duration of Revive I-70 work. It is important for drivers to slow down and avoid distractions in work zones.
