Crews will continue soil boring work overnight this week in preparation for construction activities beginning in early 2025 on westbound I-70 from west of U.S. 35 to the Ohio state line. Here’s what to expect:
Monday, Dec 16 through Wednesday, Dec. 18: Overnight single lane restrictions on eastbound and westbound I-70 between U.S. 35 and U.S. 27.
Thursday, Dec. 19 and Friday, Dec. 20: Overnight single lane restrictions on eastbound and westbound I-70 between S.R. 227 and U.S. 40
The work is expected around 8 p.m. and end by 7 a.m. daily. The overnight work Friday is not expected to begin until 9 p.m.
The work is weather dependent, and anticipated schedules are subject to change based on weather and other factors.
