Rolling closures on I-70 this weekend for pavement patching
As progress continues on the Revive I-70 corridor, overnight restrictions will be needed Saturday and next week for pavement patching, to set bridge beams, and other work.
Drivers can expect the following restrictions:
Saturday, June 20
- Rolling lane restrictions on I-70 in both directions from west of U.S. 35 to Ohio state line
Monday, June 22
- Eastbound I-70 reduced to one lane from Round Barn Road to SR 227
- Exit ramp from eastbound I-70 to U.S. 35 closed
Thursday, June 25
- Eastbound I-70 reduced to one lane from Round Barn Road to Smyrna Road
- Entrance ramp from S.R. 227 to eastbound I-70 closed
Closures are scheduled between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. each weeknight and Saturday.
Construction Speed Limit
The construction zone speed limit remains active on I-70. A reduced speed of 55 mph is in place for the duration of Revive I-70 work. It is important for drivers to slow down and avoid distractions in work zones.
