Additional overnight restrictions are needed
Lane restrictions are needed overnight this week and next for pavement patching throughout the eastern portion of the project corridor.
Drivers can expect the following restrictions:
Wednesday, Feb. 18 – Friday, Feb. 20
- Rolling, short closures from west of U.S. 35 to the Ohio state line for pothole patching
Thursday, Feb. 19
- Westbound I-70 reduced to a single lane from Smyrna Road to U.S. 227
- Eastbound I-70 reduced to a single lane east from Reservoir Road to east of the East Fork Whitewater River bridge
Friday, Feb. 20
- Eastbound I-70 reduced to a single lane near U.S. 35
Closures are scheduled from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. each weeknight. The Friday night closures extend from 10 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday.
Pavement patching is expected to continue overnight next week in the same corridor.
Construction Speed Limit
The construction zone speed limit remains active on I-70. A reduced speed of 55 mph is in place for the duration of Revive I-70 work. It is important for drivers to slow down and avoid distractions in work zones.
