Short-term ramp closure needed for pavement patching

Centerville exit on westbound I-70 scheduled to close

The pavement patching underway on westbound I-70 will require a short-term ramp closure. The Centerville exit on westbound I-70, at Exit 145, is scheduled to close around 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15 and reopen by 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20.

Crews are completing full-depth concrete patching to address pavement issues at the exit ramp. The closure is needed to give crews room to safely complete the work.

Pavement patching is currently underway along a 3.5-mile section of westbound I-70 that extends from west of Centerville to U.S. 35. The single-lane restriction is expected to continue through Friday, Nov. 15. Work will pause the week of Nov. 25 to help prevent delays for Thanksgiving travelers. Pavement patching on eastbound lanes of I-70 is scheduled Friday, Dec. 6 through Friday, Dec. 20 with a single lane restriction expected.

Drivers are reminded to plan ahead and avoid distractions in the work zone. The lane restrictions will allow the work to be completed faster, preventing prolonged work and extended delays.

Anticipated schedules are subject to change based on weather and other factors.
