Update: Temporary closure of single U.S. 40 ramp scheduled for week of July 21

Overnight restrictions to accommodate work on the corridor this week

The Revive I-70 project team has updated the construction schedule to begin work on improvements at the I-70 and U.S. 40 interchange near Richmond. The ramp from westbound I-70 to westbound U.S. 40 is expected to close the week of July 21 and reopen in mid-September. During the closure, crews will remove existing pavement and begin construction at the interchange. A closure date and detour information will be shared this week.

Short-term restrictions will be needed this year for the eastbound I-70 ramp to westbound U.S. 40, but the temporary, 60-day closure is not expected until 2026.
