Overnight restrictions scheduled for next week
Lane restrictions are scheduled this weekend on eastbound I-70 for pavement work in preparation for construction early next year. Significant delays are expected, and drivers are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes when possible.
Drivers can expect the following closures this weekend:
Friday, Nov. 21
- Westbound I-70 reduced to a single lane from Brick Church Road to Jacksonburg Road (10 p.m. to 10 a.m.)
- Rolling closures on westbound and eastbound I-70 from west of U.S. 35 to the Ohio state line for shoulder cleaning (9 p.m. to 10 a.m.)
Friday, Nov. 21 – Monday, Nov. 24 (10 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Monday)
- Eastbound I-70 reduced to a single lane from Mineral Springs Road to Centerville Road
Saturday, Nov. 22 (10 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday)
- Westbound I-70 reduced to a single lane from Brick Church Road to Jacksonburg Road
Restrictions Next Week
Drivers can expect the following restrictions next week:
Sunday, Nov. 23 (7 a.m. to 9 a.m.)
- Union Pike at I-70, three short stoppages of up to 20 minutes for utility work
Monday, Nov. 24 (8 p.m. to 7 a.m.)
- Ramp to Williamsburg Pike closed (Exit #149A)
- Eastbound I-70 reduced to a single lane near U.S. 35
- Westbound I-70 reduced to a single lane from Brick Church Road to Jacksonburg Road
Tuesday, Nov. 25 (8 p.m. to 7 a.m.)
- Ramp to westbound U.S. 40 closed (Exit #156A)
- Eastbound I-70 reduced to a single lane near U.S. 40
- Eastbound I-70 reduced to a single lane from Brick Church Road to Centerville Road

Construction Speed Limit
The construction zone speed limit remains active on I-70. A reduced speed of 55 mph is in place for the duration of Revive I-70 work. It is important for drivers to slow down and avoid distractions in work zones.
