Lane restrictions this weekend on westbound I-70

Overnight restrictions scheduled for next week

Lane restrictions are scheduled this weekend on westbound I-70 and next weekend on eastbound I-70 to prepare for construction early next year. Significant delays are expected, and drivers are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes when possible.

Drivers can expect the following upcoming weekend closures:

Friday, Nov. 14 – Monday, Nov. 17 (10 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Monday)

  • Westbound I-70 reduced to a single lane from Brick Church Road to Centerville Road (Closure parameters will adjust as the work progresses.)

Friday, Nov. 21 – Monday, Nov. 24 (10 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Monday)

  • Eastbound I-70 reduced to a single lane from Mineral Springs Road to Centerville Road

Drivers can expect the following restrictions next week:

Monday, Nov. 17 (8 p.m. to 7 a.m.)

  • Westbound I-70 reduced to a single lane from Brick Church Road to Jacksonburg Road

Monday, Nov. 17 – Friday, Nov. 21 (8 p.m. to 7 a.m.)

  • Eastbound I-70 reduced to a single lane from to U.S. 27 to U.S. 40 (Closure parameters will adjust as the work progresses.)

Monday, Nov. 17 – Thursday, Nov. 20 (8 p.m. to 7 a.m.)

  • Westbound I-70 reduced to a single lane from west of U.S. 35 to east of U.S. 227 (Closure parameters will adjust as the work progresses.)

Friday, Nov. 21

  • Westbound I-70 reduced to a single lane from Brick Church Road to Jacksonburg Road (10 p.m. to 10 a.m.)
  • Rolling closures on westbound and eastbound I-70 from west of U.S. 35 to the Ohio state line for shoulder cleaning (9 p.m. to 10 a.m.)

Saturday, Nov. 22 (10 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday)

  • Westbound I-70 reduced to a single lane from Brick Church Road to Jacksonburg Road

All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.

Construction Speed Limit

The construction zone speed limit remains active on I-70. A reduced speed of 55 mph is in place for the duration of Revive I-70 work. It is important for drivers to slow down and avoid distractions in work zones.
