Overnight restrictions scheduled for next week
Lane restrictions are scheduled this weekend on eastbound I-70 to prepare for construction early next year. Significant delays are expected, and drivers are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes when possible.
Lane Closures This Weekend
Drivers can expect the following restrictions this weekend:
Friday, Oct. 31
- Rolling closures on westbound I-70 near the Whitewater River bridge for pothole repairs, from 10 p.m. Friday through 2 a.m. Saturday
- Westbound I-70 reduced to one lane for patching work from Brick Church Road to State Road 1 from 10 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday
- Westbound I-70 reduced to one lane from the Ohio state line to U.S. 40 from 10 p.m. Friday through 10 a.m. Saturday
Friday, Oct. 31 – Monday, Nov. 3 (10 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Monday)
- Eastbound I-70 reduced to a single lane from Brick Church Road to Jacksonburg Road
Sunday, Nov. 2 (10 p.m. Sunday to 7 a.m. Monday)
- Westbound I-70 reduced to one lane from Jacksonburg Road to Brick Church Road

Drivers can expect the following restrictions next week:
Monday, Nov. 3 – Friday, Nov. 7 (8 p.m. to 7 a.m. each night)
- Westbound I-70 reduced to one lane from the Ohio state line to U.S. 40
Monday, Nov. 3 and Tuesday, Nov. 4 (8 p.m. to 7 a.m. each night)
- Westbound I-70 reduced to one lane from Brick Church Road to Martindale Creek
Wednesday, Nov. 5 – Friday, Nov. 7 (8 p.m. to 7 a.m. each night)
- Eastbound I-70 reduced to one lane from Mineral Springs Road to Centerville Road
All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
Construction Speed Limit
The construction zone speed limit remains active on I-70. A reduced speed of 55 mph is in place for the duration of Revive I-70 work. It is important for drivers to slow down and avoid distractions in work zones.
