Temporary Ramp Closures

Temporary ramp closures are scheduled for later this month. The ramps from eastbound and westbound U.S. 40 to eastbound I-70 and eastbound I-70 to eastbound U.S. 40 are expected to close on or after Monday, Oct. 27. The closures are expected to last 60 days and will allow crews to continue improvements at the U.S. interchange.

The partial cloverleaf at the U.S. 40 interchange is being replaced with a diamond interchange with single-lane roundabouts. The existing loop ramps are being removed. Similar improvements are being made at the U.S. 35 interchange. Both interchanges are expected to be open in final configuration in 2027.

Construction Speed Limit
The construction zone speed limit remains active on I-70. A reduced speed of 55 mph is in place for the duration of Revive I-70 work. It is important for drivers to slow down and avoid distractions in work zones.
