Weekend lane restrictions are planned this month to widen eastbound I-70 from west of State Road 1 to west of Centerville to prepare for the start of construction next year. Significant back-ups and delays are expected. Drivers are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes when possible.
Friday, Oct. 3 – Monday, Oct. 6 (10 p.m. Friday – 7 a.m. Monday)
- Eastbound I-70 reduced to a single lane from Mineral Springs Road to Centerville Road
Friday, Oct. 10 – Monday, Oct. 13 (10 p.m. Friday – 7 a.m. Monday)
- Eastbound I-70 reduced to a single lane from Jacksonburg Road to Mineral Springs Road
Closures are expected at least four weekends to complete the work. Crews will work east to west and reduce eastbound I-70 to a single lane in approximately two-to-three-mile sections.

Sunday, Oct. 5
- Daytime lane closure on eastbound I-70 from Mineral Springs Road to Centerville Road (10 a.m. to 10 p.m.)
- Overnight lane closure on eastbound I-70 from Washington Road to Nolands Fork Creek (10 p.m. to 7 a.m.)
Monday, Oct. 6 (8 p.m. to 7 a.m.)
- Ramp from westbound I-70 to U.S. 27 closed
- Overnight lane closure on westbound I-70 from U.S. 27 to Union Pike
Monday, Oct. 6 – Thursday, Oct. 9 (8 p.m. to 7 a.m.)
- Nightly lane closure on westbound I-70 from Centerville Road to Jacksonburg Road
All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
Construction Speed Limit
The construction zone speed limit remains active on I-70. A reduced speed of 55 mph is in place for the duration of Revive I-70 work. It is important for drivers to slow down and avoid distractions in work zones.
