Overnight ramp closures scheduled Friday and Saturday
Overnight lane restrictions are scheduled the rest of this week and next week as progress continues on the I-70 corridor. Two overnight ramp closures are scheduled to accommodate patching work.
Drivers can expect the following restrictions:
Friday, March 20
- Ramp from eastbound U.S. 40 to eastbound I-70 closed
- Eastbound I-70 reduced to one lane near the Ohio state line
- Westbound I-70 reduced to one lane from Jacksonburg Road to west of Centerville Road
- Westbound and eastbound I-70 reduced to one lane at Washington Road
- Eastbound I-70 reduced to a single lane west of Wilbur Wright Road
Friday, March 20 – Sunday, March 22
- Eastbound I-70 reduced to one lane from Brick Church Road to Centerville Road
Saturday, March 21
- Ramp from S.R. 227 to westbound I-70 closed
- Westbound I-70 reduced to one lane from S.R. 227 to U.S. 35
Monday, March 23 – Friday, March 27
- Westbound I-70 reduced to one lane from Brick Church Road to Jacksonburg Road
- Westbound I-70 reduced to one lane on all overpass bridges from west of S.R. 1 to west of Centerville Road
Tuesday, March 24 and Wednesday, March 25
- Rolling overnight closures on I-70 from west of U.S. 35 to the Ohio state line
Wednesday, March 25 to Saturday, March 28
- Eastbound I-70 reduced to a single lane from Brick Church Road to Centerville Road
Saturday, March 28
- Westbound I-70 reduced to a single lane from Brick Church Road to Jacksonsburg Road
Closures are scheduled from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. each weeknight. The Friday and Saturday closures are 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. the next day.
Traffic Shift
Drivers on eastbound I-70 will notice a new traffic configuration from west of S.R. 1 to west of Centerville Road. Crews are working on the eastbound lanes of I-70 this year. Westbound traffic is pushing to the outside to accommodate one lane of eastbound traffic on the westbound roadway. The shift is expected to be in place late this week. The traffic shift will allow crews the room they need to safely work and continue improvements in the area.
Construction Speed Limit
The construction zone speed limit remains active on I-70. A reduced speed of 55 mph is in place for the duration of Revive I-70 work. It is important for drivers to slow down and avoid distractions in work zones.
